On Sunday 20 October 2024, the Parish of St Christopher, Sobantu welcomed 51 new members of the Girls and Boys Friendly Society at a service conducted by Bishop Ndwandwe for Confirmation and the Licensing of 3 young people as Lay Ministers. Amongst the Confirmands were also those to be later robed as GBFS members. St Bride’s Parish (Magabheni) guild members came in numbers to witness this day as their peers were enrolled. Allso present was the Diocesan President of the guild and BFS parish leader from Prince of Peace Parish (Inanda). Our former Dean, Revd. Ndabezinhle Sibisi was also present and chanted the Gospel. A beautiful service filled music and celebration!
Two Palm trees were planted: 1 by Confirmands and Bishop and the other by GBFS and Bishop. The young people committed to taking care of them, as a sign of their growing in Christ
