Newest Indian diocese consecrates its first bishop

The Rt. Rev. Royce Victor consecrated as Bishop in Malabar.

The Church of South India has consecrated its first Bishop in Malabar. On 17 May 2016 the Rt. Rev. Royce Victor was consecrated at the CSI Cathedral in Calicut (Kozhikode) by the moderator of the CSI, the Most Rev. Govada Dyvarsirvadam, deputy moderator Rt Rev Thomas Oommen and other bishops of the church. Malabar is the newest diocese of the Church of South India and was carved out of the Diocese of North Kerala in 2015. It comprises the northern region of the state of Kerala and Goa.
