The Dean and President of Nashotah House, the Rt. Rev Edward L. Salmon Jr., is to meet in private with archbishop-elect Foley Beach today at the 2014 Assembly of the Anglican Church in North America. Bishop Salmon met with friends and graduates of the seminary attending the assembly at Saint Vincent College in LaTrobe, Penna., discussing the schools relations with ACNA. A spokesman for  former Nashotah House trustee the Rt. Rev. Jack L. Iker said the Fort Worth bishop did not meet with Bishop Salmon. Tensions surrounding the invitation extended to Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori to speak at Nashotah House appear unresolved, however. A Nashotah House graduate and delegate to the ACNA Assembly told AI he had spoken with Bishop Salmon to relay his diocese’s displeasure over the controversy.

Update: June 28, 2014 Archbishop-elect Beach’s spokesman the Rev Andrew Gross reports the meeting planed for Friday afternoon was not able to take place as planned.
