ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov 8, 2023 – Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS) is excited toannounce that Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock will be delivering a lecture on God and politics at the seminary on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Titled “God’s Politics Now”, Sen. Warnock will talk about racial and economic justice, and call for political activism that seeks common ground at a time when some politiciansseek to divide us. He will share his theology of civic engagement honed through yearsof public ministry in pulpits from Harlem’s Abyssinian Baptist Church to Atlanta’sEbenezer Baptist Church, and now on the floor of the United States Senate. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session, a book signing and a reception.

Sen. Warnock, who is United States Senator for Georgia, and Senior Pastor ofEbenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, is one of the best-known Christian preachers in thecountry, and an important voice on faith in public life.

The lecture, which will be livestreamed through VTS’ YouTube page, will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Virginia Theological Seminary.
