In December 2019, after the merger of Calero and MDSL, he became a member of the new Calero-MDSL board. In addition, Mr. Pajer serves on the boards of Saint James School in Hagerstown, MD, and River Communities Fiduciary Services, Inc. in Beaver Falls, PA. He has also been a very active volunteer and board member in a number of Pittsburgh-based non-profit organizations. Mr. Pajer received an MBA from Katz School of Management, University of Pittsburgh, and his Master of Science in Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He also has taken courses at Trinity toward a Master of Divinity degree in past years. Mr. Pajer is a member of All Saints Anglican Church in Cranberry Township, PA, part of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh, Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). He and his wife, Debbie, have three grown children.

“I have grown so fond of Trinity School for Ministry over the years, and have experienced Trinity’s mission as a student, an Anglican parishioner, and as a member of the Board of Visitors. I am honored to accept the board’s invitation to trusteeship, and Debbie and I are excited to play an even greater role in the growth of this seminary like no other,” stated Mr. Pajer.

Michael Howell, PhD

Newly elected to Trustee Emeritus status, Dr. Michael Howell, who lives in St. Petersburg, FL, has served on Trinity’s board since 2004. He is a member of St. Nicolas Church in Kissimmee, FL, part of the Missionary Diocese of All Saints, Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).

Dr. Howell stated, “Trinity is truly a school like no other, and has meant so much to me over the years. Anything I can do to strengthen Trinity is a joy and a pleasure, and I am humbled by the opportunity to join so many of Trinity’s forefathers in the category of Trustee Emeritus. May God continue to bless Trinity’s path.”

Board Chair, Bradley B. Root, observed, “We are doubly blessed by both Joe and Michael, both of whom love the Lord and benefit from a strong Christian witness. Joe brings to us a wealth of private school board experience, a deep passion for community ministry, and expertise in business as evidenced by a remarkable career spanning decades. We are equally pleased to elect Michael to Trustee Emeritus status; he is a longtime contributor to Trinity’s mission in all ways, and his wisdom and perspective will continue to benefit our community.”
