The Three Amigos have a great discussion around the complex understanding of Women in Holy Orders and the East African Revival. They also talk about the fear of Islam and how dangerous transgenderism political correctness has become.

Maybe Kenyan church women differ from American church women. I hope so. Regarding WO, the debaters sling Bible passages, tradition, greek and latin, and history at each other. I truly would like to know why women’s ordination has gone so horribly wrong in the US? No one seems willing to address the question. Women in orders are mono-clones. They look, sound, and act the same. They are all in search of the one big issue that will make them the next Martin Luther King, Jr. Is salvation and eternal life not a valid direction?
Women’s ordination is the number one priority for a number of ACNA bishops like Duncan, Hobby, Hunter, and others. It is my contention they will push it until the others give in or leave. I have not heard one word how happy REC is with joining ACNA but feel they were misled (lied to) from day one on the degree of orthodoxy of the new entity. The pro-WO bishops are free to openly state their positions and nuances of understanding. Plenty of time has elapsed to decide one way or the other. Don’t blame it on the Kenyans. We can still find some orthodox ACNA congregations as well as TEC churches. Not much difference.
It is not only on this issue that this is happening.
You can thank ++Duncan for that.
Yep. Sometimes you need someone like ++Duncan to bust out and go full steam ahead and push the envelope as far and quickly as possible. But there is a day of reckoning when promises must be made good. The original idea of replacing TEC in the eyes of Canterbury didn’t work. The promise to do everything with study, prayer, and Biblical authority is but dust now. The problem with modern data access is yokels like myself can spot the ruses from afar.
Gavin following your wife to Rome is not a happy option. Look at how anglican clergy were treated in the Ordinariate including Steenson. Rome didn’t want them. You’ll find the obedience clause oppressing.
After a decade or more of procrastination I dove into the Bosphorus a few weeks ago. The water is fine!
Stop the presses. Anglicans discovered to be Episcopalians. The time machine has rattled all the way back to….1972? At 16:00 he has it right. Just what IS this thing besides theological velcro that drags along everything at random?
