Susie Leafe to resign as director of the conservative evangelical group

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that Susie Leafe has decided to resign as Director of Reform. In the letter of resignation which she sent to the Reform Council she stated ‘for the past six years it has been a joy to serve alongside faithful brothers and sisters, providing information and proclaiming the gospel’. We are very grateful for all she has contributed to Reform’s ministry in this time and what has been achieved through her work. We look forward to working with her in contending for the gospel in whatever future ministry the Lord may call her to. Please do bear with us at this time as inevitably our administrative capacity will be reduced. I shall write again in due course with a fuller appreciation of all that Susie has contributed to the work of Reform in her time with us. I hope also to be able to say something about the outcome of the Council’s recent 24 hour residential meeting as we seek to face current challenges as well as to learn from the past.

Mark Burkill – Chairman of Reform

Angus Macleay (Chairman of Reform Trustees) writes: ‘Susie has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Reform membership over the last six years, traveling up and down the country, preparing countless briefing papers for both the Reform Council and members. She has contended for the gospel in many ways, in particular on the floor of General Synod where she has shown admirable courage in standing for the truth. Her contribution to the work of Reform has been considerable and she will be greatly missed’.
