“Celebrate Christmas in July” is the theme of the Twenty-Eighth Forward in Faith North America (FiFNA) Annual Assembly, featuring teaching and discussion on the Incarnation of Jesus.  The Assembly will take place July 20-22, 2016 at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, in Belleville, IL (near St. Louis).

The featured speakers will be:

  • The Rt. Rev. C. Fitzsimons Allison, retired Bishop of South Carolina – “The Incarnation – Threat to and Therapy for Sin”
  • Ms. Alice C. Linsley, Biblical Anthropologist – “Creation and the Incarnation of Our Lord”
  • The Rev. Canon Arnold W. Klukas, retired Professor of Liturgics and Ascetical Theology  – “The Incarnation in Liturgy and Life”

From  FiFNA President Fr. Lawrence Bausch – “Creedal Christianity affirms that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human.  As such, He is our Lord and Savior, the only way to the Father.  The Incarnation stands at the center of Biblical anthropology, and this Doctrine can illuminate our way through the forces which are eroding the foundations of our culture. In this season of gender confusion and ignorance of the Bible, how can we help people appreciate the mystery of God become a male human by a virgin mother?”

The 2016 Assembly will also honor Bishop Keith Ackerman, for his exemplary leadership during his tenure as FiFNA President.  This special tribute will be led by Bishop William Ilgenfritz, a close friend of Bishop Ackerman for many decades.

Bishop Ackerman continues to serve FiFNA as its Ambassador for Anglican and Ecumenical Affairs.

Registration and information can be found online at www.fifna.org/2016-national-assembly/, or by calling the FiFNA Main Office at 800-225-3661.
