On October 16, the American Anglican Council Board of Trustees met in Atlanta, GA for council, prayer, and fellowship. It was at this board meeting that the Rev. Canon Mark Eldredge, Director of Anglican Revitalization Ministries (ARM), was named the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the AAC.

Canon Mark has worked with the American Anglican Council since 2017, first as a revitalization consultant and then as ARM’s director. After serving as an Associate Priest for three years at an Episcopal Church in Midland, TX, Canon Mark moved to Jacksonville in 2003 to be the Senior Pastor of Epiphany Episcopal Church. While leading that church through revitalization, he also moved the parish into what has become the Anglican Church of North America. After 14 years serving the congregation, he moved into full time parachurch ministry at the AAC, helping local congregations better fulfill the Great Commission in our times.

In his new role as COO, Canon Mark will work with the Rev. Canon Phil Ashey in overseeing the day to day operations of the American Anglican Council. This will give Canon Phil, as CEO, the ability to give more of his time and attention to the provincial and global work that the AAC has ahead. As COO, Canon Mark will continue in his role as Director of Anglican Revitalization Ministries.
