Langham Partnership (Langham) launches their new campaign, Magnify, this week, providing an opportunity for the UK church to play a larger role in the development of the global church. To kick off the new campaign, an event on April 22nd at 10.30am at All Souls Langham Place will gather Christians from all denominations to hear stories of how God is moving around the world, and how they can get involved in global mission.

Tens of thousands of churches worldwide lack the funding, resources and support needed to introduce unreached people groups to Jesus. They often develop their own understanding of the gospel, leading to misinformed preaching and many would-be Christians being accidentally led astray or unreached. By partnering with Langham, UK Christians and churches will play a crucial role in overcoming these challenges, acting as catalysts for global mission.

The Magnify campaign includes an event roadshow across the UK including in England, Wales, and Scotland and in cities such as Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff. Each event will be free to attend, with Christians of all denominations welcome to sign up, take part and hear stories of how God is moving overseas.

John Libby, National Director UK & Ireland for Langham, said: “Our work stems from the local church, and we believe that the local church should have mutual ownership of it as both they and those overseas on the mission field play a key role in God’s mission. We invite all Christians to come together to celebrate and get involved in what God is doing around the world and be a part of His story.”

The launch marks a period of substantial growth for Langham as the organisation extends their presence in the UK and overseas, with the appointment of Jose Laussu as Supporter Development Officer for Scotland, and Hani Hanna as the new International Director of Langham Literature, based in Egypt.

Jose said, “Langham’s faithful mission and vision to come alongside the global church has provided the training, resources, and opportunities to raise up local leaders and equip them with God’s Word. Together with the UK church, we can strengthen God’s ministry in contexts where churches are under-resourced.”

Langham is an international charity equipping and resourcing indigenous leaders around the world to multiply disciples. Since its formation in 1969 by John Stott, Langham has impacted over a million people around the world through its LiteraturePreaching and Scholars programmes. Between July 2021 and June 2022, Langham equipped almost 10,000 indigenous pastors and lay leaders to preach God’s word, supplied over 30,000 Bible-centred books to Majority World pastors, students and ministry partners – more than half of which were free of charge – and distributed almost a quarter of a million biblically-based books worldwide.
