Julio Cesar Martin

With great hope and tranquility – although with serene sadness – I write to you tonight to share with you and your loved ones the Christian Faith, Hope, and Love that has characterized our country despite all our shortcomings as a society.

In the face of natural disasters – such as earthquakes – or in the face of catastrophes caused by human sin – such as war – our beautiful country and our society have shown in our history that solidarity and a sense of community are firmly anchored in our hearts and in our culture.

Our hearts and culture, the natural resources of our country together with Faith, Hope and Christian Love, will ensure that all Mexican men and women, of all ages and conditions, are safe from any physical danger from the modern technology of war means for the physical integrity of our loved ones, even if the modern technology of war and destruction were internationalized and reached the world.

Mexico as a nation and we as a people are lovers of peace and we can proudly say that all our governments of any political and ideological color have shown themselves to be pacifists in international conflicts, reflecting not only our culture but also our Faith, Hope and Love. I trust that the weeks to come will be no exception.

I am absolutely convinced that our cities, towns, countryside and communities, our children, brothers and neighbors, will be safe in Mexico and that we will be able to pray intensely for world peace and for the other peoples of the world.

Therefore, I invite you to join me in a chain of silent prayer every night at 9 pm wherever you are (home, car, office, etc.) and that we make provision so that at that time we can dedicate 3 minutes of intense prayer for world peace.

Our common prayer is as follows:

Our Father, who art in heaven, we ask you in the blessed name of Our Savior Jesus Christ, that your Holy Spirit enlighten the minds of those who decide the course of war and move the hearts of all to mercy towards boys, girls, old men and women, mothers and fathers, and the entire creation.
We thank you that you have continued and continue to inspire and guide the hearts and minds of our representatives to maintain world peace. Keep them even closer to you right now, fill them with your strength and courage, so that through them you send a powerful message of peace and transformation to the world.

We thank you that today we can feel certain that our sons and daughters and loved ones will be safe in the weeks and months to come.We thank you that we have courageous Faith, Hope, and Love.
We thank you that YOU came to us in Jesus.
We thank you because YOU stayed in our hearts.
We thank you because you are with us.
And we beg you with all our being for your almighty presence in love where so much is needed.
AMEN.

May the PEACE of God that surpasses all human understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God and of his Son, Our Only Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ. And may the blessing of almighty God, the Father+, the Son+, and the Holy Spirit+, protect and bless you tonight and always.
