The Rev. Frederick John has been elected Bishop of Karachi & Baluchistan by a meeting of the diocesan synod on 18 Oct 2021 held at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Karachi. The Moderator of the Church of Pakistan, the Most Rev. Azad Marshall, presided over the meeting. Bishop-elect John received 25 of 26 votes from the members of synod and all 13 of the votes of the diocese’s executive council. He will succeed the Rt. Rev. Sadiq Daniel, who is retiring.
