Kevin Kallsen and George Conger talk about the Oprah interview and how Harry and Meghan are throwing Prince Charles and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby under the double-decker bus. Also, discussed is the continued seismic activity from the Dear Gay Anglican letter and finally it is time for a serious talk about the Equality Act and how this ends Reason.

  1. Two separate thoughts:

I’m not sure that we can say trans identities are about action/behavior. Unlike the SSA identities, it seems to me that these are more about feeling (“I feel that deep down I am really X, so I no longer identify as Y”)? But I agree that the trans rights movement is aiming to dismantle any sort of objectivity, and targeting those who believe in absolutes. It has been interesting to me to come across a number of practicing gays who strongly resent being “lumped in” with this other group.

Many politically astute Christian conservatives believe that the only cultural/political battle that can realistically still be waged with any measure of success is for freedom of conscience. I rather admire those who have hope and determination in fighting on in other matters. But sadly, as far as I can tell, there are already indications that this “last” battle is seeing significant losses.

    • Bonhoeffer opined that the Church and Christians will steadily lose ground in the world. When the last square inch is taken from us, those will be the End Times.
