It was ten years in the making, but it looks like CANA is following in the footsteps of AMIA.SHOW MORE

I think you were a bit overly critical of the ACNA in the signing of the concordat between the ACNA and the Church of Nigeria. Nigeria fomented the problem by consecrating the 4 bishops without notice to the ACNA leaving Abp Foley with little choice in his response. As I understand it, Diocese of the Trinity will affiliate with Nigeria. CANA East is already amending its Constitution and Canons to be fully within the ACNA since they have an Anglo diocesan bishop and are primarily American congregations. CANA West is the tricky one. Their diocesan bishop is a Nigerian but many of his parishes are Anglo not Nigerian. Each parish vestry under the ACNA Constitution Canons has the ability to vote to leave a diocese and join another which will probably happen for many of the parishes should their bishop, as probable, affiliates his diocese with Nigeria. This is not at all commensurate with the situation concerning the meltdown of the AMiA. You should make the correction in #502. . .
I think George was speaking out of anger and not fact.:The ACNA is not allowing race or tribalism to drive its decisions in this matter.. Foley Beach is not a racist nor are any of the bishops in ACNA duds. They are all bible believing, born-again Christian men. What more can you ask of Christian leaders?
On the question of “why invite the spouses”- simple- Welby invited all the spouses to all the activities because he wants 50% of people in all the photos and videos to be female. Additionally, he clearly intends to have as large a mass of progressives as possible- hence he has invited all the suffragans- 50 from TEC, 85 from CoE, etc- in addition to the diocesans, plus all the spouses. So that, in the unlikely event that Nigeria, Uganda etc were to attend, they can be overwhelmed by the 600 wives and suffragans of the revisionist churches. TEC will be represented by 250-300 people. The GS churches that are 5 to 10 times its size cannot afford the $3,000,000 (million!) that the Lambeth fees and travel will cost for 300 people to attend.
Don’t forget May 2nd is the Birthday of the KJV Anglicanism gift to the world
The so-called Athanasian Creed is better called the Pseudo-Athanasian Creed; most scholars believe it was composed much later in history by another person. The only test of orthodoxy is Scripture, against which even the Creeds must be tested. The Athanasian Creed’s formulation of the ‘Trinity’ is sub-rational and anti-scriptural.
