A complaint was filed yesterday, October 20, 2025, by four presbyters and seven lay members of the Anglican Church in North America against the primate and archbishop, the Most Rev Stephen Wood.

Archbishop Wood has said, “I do not believe these complaints have merit. I trust the process outlined in our canons to bring clarity and truth in these matters.”

The ACNA response is as follows:

“A complaint has been submitted to the ACNA relating to allegations made against Archbishop Steve Wood, which predate his June 2024 election as the Archbishop of the Province of the Anglican Church in North America.  In accordance with Canonical Law, as soon as the complaint is validated as a presentment, Bishop Ray Sutton, Dean of the ACNA’s College of Bishops and Presiding Bishop of the REC, will convene a Board of Inquiry to consider whether it warrants further action.  The ACNA cannot comment on the allegations that have been submitted.”

Anglican Ink will upload the presentment at a future date.
