It was announced yesterday that the Bishop of Oswestry has been duly elected from among the Bishops Suffragan of the Province of Canterbury to membership of the General Synod of the Church of England.

The Suffrgan Bishops of Dorchester, Tewkesbury, Dorking, and Stepney were also elected.
