Myanmar archbishop asks for help in wake of Mandalay earthquake

The Primate of Myanmar, the Most Rev. Stephen Than Myint OO has asked for assistance in the wake of last week’s earthquake. On 28 March 2025, Myanmar and Thailand were hit by a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that caused massive devastation. Over 3000 deaths have been reported in Myanmar, but the actual extent of the damage has yet to be established as rescue and retrieval operations are still ongoing.
