The governing board of the Conference of European Churches met last month in Brussels to review the 2015-2016 agenda for the pan-European church coalition. The board, led by the Rt. Rev. Christopher Hill, the former Bishop of Lichfield, approved the formation of reference groups on: Ecclesiology and Theological Dialogue Among the Churches; Peacebuilding and Reconciliation; Human Rights; Economic and Environmental Justice; Employment and Social Issues; Bioethics; Education for Democratic Citizenship; and EU Policy and Legislation for the coming year. The General Secretary of CEC, the Rev. Guy Liagre said the member churches would soon receive a direct communication about the meeting and would be invited to participate in the reference groups.
