Bishop in Calcutta elected moderator of the Church of North India

The Most Revd Paritosh Canning, Bishop of the Calcutta Diocese, has been elected as the 16th Moderator of the Church of North India during the 18th Ordinary Meeting of the Synod, held in New Delhi on 21st and 22nd October 2025. The Rt Revd Silvans Christian, Bishop of the Gujarat Diocese, has been elected as the Deputy Moderator.
