What is the UNHCR?

The UNHCR is the United Nations agency tasked with protecting the rights and well-being of refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people. They work to ensure that everyone who has fled conflict or persecution has the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge. The UNHCR provides life-saving aid, helps refugees find safe homes, and supports them in rebuilding their lives.
