The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell today issued a message in support of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s statement regarding Archbishop Ndukuba of Nigeria.
“I welcome and support the Archbishop of Canterbury’s clear condemnation of the language used by Archbishop Ndukuba in his recent statement. I share his sorrow that LGBTI+ people across the world will feel less safe as a result. My prayer and hope for the LLF process in the Church of England is that we may find a way of living with our God given diversity and be a place of welcome and belonging for everyone, strengthened and encouraged to live Christ’s story together.”
