Nice to hear comments (finally!) about the bizarre labyrinths at PECUSA parishes. From the outset I’ve called them Christian repellent. See, it works.
Yeah, I remember hearing about them circa 2000 at St. Marks Cathedral and St. Dunstan’s in Seattle. It was part of the feminist spiritualless (new word) movement. One of the local parish wrecker ladies explained it off as like Stations of the Cross meditations. More likely they fall in the order of kitchen witches and those oooh so provocative Sign of the Fish with a Darwin written in the middle (a creation without a Creator) like the one the vestry member lady displayed on her car.
