  1. I agree that Anglican Unscripted is one of the best talk shows in YouTube. I think many viewers (like me) have been encouraged to subscribe by Kevin, so we get YouTube notifications when new episodes are available and therefore watch it directly in YouTube rather than coming here to Anglican Ink. That’s why all the discussion thread is on YouTube rather than here.

    • That’s true Charles. I’ve followed since Gavin stepped down / was pushed, from being a Queen’s chaplain, and somehow ended up on Anglican Unscripted. Kevin is very likeable (for an American), and George also -a bit growly ,but still likeable. However it’s ‘Gavin the Englishman’ that adds class and dignity to the show… :0)

  2. How sad that no one who ever posts here doesn’t watch Anglican Unscripted. It’s actually one of the best talk shows available on YouTube, and increasing in popularity. If you want to know what ordinary Christians think, you should watch it.

  3. re Gavin Ashenden’s comments about “the once born”: I think the in-breaking Kingdom/Reign of God proves helpful as another way to contemplate claims about the fruit of the Spirit growing outside the community of people who self-identify as Christ followers. I agree with Gavin that good and evil aren’t necessarily clearly discernible for anyone, and particularly so for those who haven’t yet embraced the Lordship of Christ. It also seems to me, however, that too often we who claim allegiance to Christ overlook and undervalue much that is truly good that all manner of people participate in daily. This kind of oversight can leave us Christians under-appreciating the comprehensive nature of God’s work in his world. Surely God the Spirit always works to establish God’s reign here and now, and as some people choose good rather than evil they move toward rather than away from Christ, the Lord of all goodness.
