  1. Confession-Apology-Amendment is a toolbox used quite effectively in our lifetime by TEC to endorse numerous bad theologies. Some bishops within ACNA are using the same toolbox to push forward their first order agenda of WO. The ACNA’s HOB profusely apologized to women in general for something (wasn’t very clear) at their meeting in Vancouver. I believe WO is a done deal in ACNA (might be some splits) but just want to say some of us are wise to the methods involved. As a cynic I ask the world what’s next? The plant confession and apology has been done. How about if a HOB or seminary confesses and apologizes to Japanese people about the whining of New Mexicans and their offensive memorials because of their soft children in Bataan?

    • RH, I don’t understand your last sentence and find it a bit alarming, but leaving that aside I wanted to respond about the machinations to advance women’s ordination.

The thing that I think is always overlooked is the way in which these “advancements” are a betrayal of those who wish to live faithfully – women who have chosen NOT to pursue ordination, SSA folks who have chosen NOT to pursue sexual expression. I wish we could take just a fraction of the energy that is being wasted on these things and use it to support our brothers and sisters in the Church in continuing to live faithfully.

  2. Hysteria is not a solution nor is fake science. The South American rain forest is not the lungs of the earth (oceans). If you truly wish to stop CO2 production at power plants, use nuclear as your heat source to generate steam (the waste issue was solved 30 years ago). The zero population people believe other people must die to save the earth. Not. Discarded plastics look ugly but are really pretty inert and non reactive. The eight rivers in the Souther Hemisphere which account for the horrible litter photos should be cleaned. A disposable diaper takes 300 years to break down which is good but not as good as the length of time it takes a rock to break down. Remember, it is the reactive chemicals that hurt you. The scientific journals are full of studies that conclude xyz may cause such in such. Does it or doesn’t it? The true conclusion is inconclusive. Live your life. Don’t thumb your nose at God’s blessings. The young couples I know are driving pickups and SUVs instead of the uncomfortable gutless hybrids of their hysterical mothers.

    • What I find infuriating is the way in which much environmentalist policy will make things harder for poor individuals and poor countries. I think a recognition of this is why the language of “climate justice” has emerged – to try to distract from the immediate and obvious reality.

  3. I usually watch this show on YouTube. For some reason here on the Anglican.Ink website I cannot see the ‘like’ symbol, so cannot ‘like’ the episode. Also I cannot see here the vast majority of the comments, which seem to appear only on YouTube.

    • I really don’t like registering with Google the Masters of the Universe and owner of YouTube to post. E-mail used to be a great tool but AT&T shares my address with their advertisers which floods my in box. I never give out the phone number for awards programs at the grocery store or latte stand. Let the phishing folks get it when they hack the banks data base.

  4. The battle to keep justification by faith only must never be abandoned, among other things. To keep with the theme, the various branches of theology have to be kept biblical, so that the strength of the church must not be sapped and truth will flower.

  5. George’s Cambodian comment. The school teachers (intellectuals) brought Pol Pot home from the cafes of Paris. Can you imagine the look of understanding flashing through the eyes of the teacher standing in a trench when the fifteen year old thug turns and comes to bash her head in with the back of a shovel? Starting with Zero History looked good on paper. Marxism of any stripe doesn’t hesitate to kill even their own.
