“Liberal moderate”, minus the “moderate”.
From a Communion point of view, Michael Curry firmly in the far left- certainly the most liberal 5%, You cannot be “moderate” and openly attack and demean a bishop who is maintaining the doctrine of the Church, especially with the farcical reasoning that a convention of TEC elitists can, by means of a non-canonical resolution, overturn the Ecumenical Councils of the Undivided Church.
Sorry this is not good news for anyone. This is just another of almost daily ratcheting of the cogs in the downward spiral. If any African/Americans were thinking about joining TEC because of the leadership position of Michael Curry, my advice is don’t. Wow. No sooner than I typed the last sentence and poof it is so. TEC will remain 93% white bossy liberals until the end days.
Michael Curry has now shot Justin Welby in the foot. Welby is already in deep over his refusal to invite the Archbishops of ACNA and the Anglican Church of Brazil to Lambeth. If he does not invite +Love, he will not need a lot of the dorm space he currently has reserved.
