Church of Uganda announces preacher for Sunday’s celebration of the life and martyrdom of Archbishop Janani Luwum

The National Organizing Committee for the International Celebration of Archbishop Janani Luwum Day on 16th February in Mucwini, Kitgum, confirmed today in a press conference that the Church of England’s Archbishop of York, John Sentamu, will be the Preacher, and that His Excellency, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, will attend the function as the Guest of Honour. A huge crowd is expected with people coming from neighbouring countries, the Great Lakes Region, and the UK. If you can’t travel to Mucwini, please take the initiative to organize a special remembrance in your local congregation on Sunday, 15th February.
