The Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement (LGCM) is delighted that the vote for equal marriage in Scotland was met by such an overwhelming majority.

However, we urge everyone to not get complacent and to continue to contact your MSP’s over the next few months as the Bill progresses through the next couple of stages.

Rev Sharon Ferguson, Chief Executive of LGCM commented, ‘I want to congratulate all those who have worked so hard to make this a reality. Results like this do not come about by accident but by consistent and concentrated effort. The Equality Network in particular, should be proud of what they have achieved.‘

This result is another step closer to full equality for the LGBT community for which LGCM has been campaigning for over 36 years.
