The Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas & The Turks and Caicos Islands, and the wider communion extend heartfelt congratulations to our Bishop, The Rt. Rev’d Laish Boyd, on being selected as an honouree at the First National Pastoral Honours, hosted by Oracle Media Consultants. This event, marking the 51st Anniversary of Independence, will occur on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Myles E. Munroe Diplomat Center in New Providence.

Bishop Boyd will be recognized with the Award of Distinction, a testament to his dedicated leadership as Bishop of our Diocese and his invaluable contributions to ministry, nation-building, and community development.

A devoted servant of God, Bishop Boyd has faithfully guided the Anglican community since his consecration as bishop in 2006 and subsequent appointment as diocesan bishop on January 1, 2009. A native of Nassau, he has served in various parishes across The Bahamas, demonstrating unwavering commitment to spiritual growth and social transformation.

We celebrate this well-deserved honour and assure our Bishop of our continued prayers as he remains steadfast in his ministry and service to God’s people.
