Good to read the clear statement of the REC’s position on male headship in holy orders.
It will be interesting to see if REC starts to pull back from ACNA or will continue to meld and dissolve into the umbrella group. The ACNA’s HOB and HOW (House of Wives) has already decided. The Three Sisters use the same talking points that were successful for TEC women. Deja vu all over again.
Bishop David Hicks served faithfully. He was an excellent Bishop, and I wish him the best in this new chapter in his ministry.
Agreed. He is an excellent bishop and a great man. I am glad he is joining our college of clergy in the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh. BTW, rh, the ACNA has a College of Bishops not a House of Bishoos ala TEC.
Stand corrected. College of Bishops it is. Let’s continue to use House of Wives as they are very influential leading down TEC’s dusty road; sort of a shadow cabinet if you will.
What’s this ‘House of Wives’?
It is a shabby cabin on a dusty corner in ReebHerb’s mind.
