Archbishop Fereimi Cama, Archbishop Don Tamihere and Archbishop Philip Richardson have shared a video message for Christmas 2020, where they look forward to Christmas and reflect on the hope the infant Christ brings to all at Christmas.
Archbishop Fereimi focuses on Christmas as a time to gather as family and celebrate together as the wider Anglican family and the ecumenical family of all Christians.
Archbishop Don revels in Christmas as a time of togetherness, giving and receiving, and of unusual kindness. He asks his flock to be kind to themselves and others at the end of a difficult year and asks us hold onto kindness as we go forward into a new year.
Archbishop Philip speaks on the value of family and time together and recalls that Christmas is a special time to remember those who have died and whose presence we miss in our lives.
This year the Archbishops are joined by a wider group of clergy and laypeople from around the province who Zoom in to offer Christmas blessings in a range of languages spoken in our Church including: Cantonese, English, Fijian, Hindi, Kinyarwanda, Te Reo Māori, Mandarin, Samoan and Tongan.
