When there is no news Kevin Kallsen and George Conger can still find something very exciting to talk about. This and much more in this week’s Anglican Unscripted.

  1. There was real Anglican news from the ACNA last week. Bishop Steve Wood ordained the lovely Ms. Abigail Hull to the Sacred Order of Priestess and Druidess. She has really pretty hair. Back in days of yore (my childhood) women would wear a scarf or pin one of those symbolic little paper doilies to their hair. The real news though is than Bishop Wood has made his bones and is now in cahoots with the Duncan bloc/cabal and is a likely candidate to replace Abp. Beach when he is pushed aside (retired).

  2. Is college worth it considering the cost? The problem stems from easy college loans. The universities and colleges hiked the costs to absorb all available funds. The infamous The Evergreen College across town from me is a state college with ⅔ out of state students so they can rake in even more.

My university education continues to hold value if for no other reason than I’m not intimidated by so called intellectuals, experts, and glib freak shows. Always remember the big campus debate by two prominent professors. One took the side of why the US should lose the Vietnam War. The other took the side of why the Viet Cong should win.

    • Tuition at the small non-elite state college I teach at is $3,000 a year. 80% of our students have no student loans at graduation. There are plenty of bargains out there if you don’t want to pay for a prestigious name on your diploma.

      • Back in the day, my state university jacked the quarterly tuition from $96 to $112. Outrageous! Total yearly cost including on-campus living, entertainment, and tuition was around $2000. Fortunate to cover most with a summer time job but did have a $700 loan that took a couple years to pay.
