Leadership Training due to be held in Keswick this Spring is now set to run online.

An innovative response to the challenges of Coronavirus is planned by Keswick Ministries and Forge Leadership. Their popular Influential Leadership workshop which normally attracts delegates to Keswick for five days in the Spring will this year be held using video conferencing, video breakouts and one to one coaching.

The course focuses on developing character in leaders, recognising its vital importance in all work situations. Launched two years ago, it has proved enormously relevant to today’s leaders both in Christian and secular roles. This emphasis will prove especially valuable in supporting and developing leadership in the midst of a crisis.

James Robson, Ministry Director of Keswick Ministries, said: “The qualities of great leadership have never been more in demand than at this current moment. Participants will be able to meet with Christ, delve into His Word, connect with other leaders from all spheres of society and build resilience to enable them to lead better in this crisis and in the future.”

Simon Barrington, Founder and Director of Forge Leadership, said: “It was essential this workshop went ahead. Leaders are looking for answers and we can help inspire and equip them for the current and future challenges. It will provide much needed support and encouragement to leaders at this time.”

James Robson adds, “Participants may not have the joys of climbing or walking in the Lake District for a while. However, we can deliver everything else on this course that we would have done face-to-face.”

The organisers are also hopeful that this new format, and the new rhythms of peoples’ lives, will open up the course to new participants who otherwise would not have been able to attend. The course is suitable for Christian leaders in churches, charities, businesses and the public sector and focuses on developing character in leaders through deepening their intimacy with Jesus, increasing their resilience, building integrity and security of identity and increasing their influence.

People can apply to attend the course, which runs from Monday 18 to Friday 22 May 2020 at https://keswickministries.org/event/influential-leadership-workshop/

Applications close on Thursday 30 April 2020.
