I am sure that the way this will work out in the end is that TEC will arrange luxury hotel accommodations off campus (as they did for VGR in 2008) for the various gay bishops and their partners/spouses. And for any partners of the non-public gay bishops of CoE, TEC, etc. that we have been told about for years. Given that they are already planning to spend something on the order of $10,000 per bishop and $10,000 per spouse on the Lambeth fees and airfare, it is not that far out of line. Let’s see- with all the suffragans, assisting bishops, assistant bishops (I know one of those is supposed to disappear), that is 150 bishops unless they opt to appoint a bunch more suffragans to increase the TEC revisionist presence, plus say 100 spouses, so about $2,5 million.
