This summer, Bishop Michael Curry shot to public attention when he preached that sermon at Harry and Meghan’s wedding. Two billion people around the world heard him speak about the redemptive power of love. In his new book, The Power of Love, he shares that sermon, together with its introduction and context notes – as well as four more of his favourite sermons on love and social justice. His deceptively simple message is one we all need to hear in these strange times: that love and acceptance are what we need most of all. Rev. Kate Bottley will be your host for the book launch and journalist and writer Cole Moreton will pose the questions. There will be chance to buy the book before and after the event.

Bishop Curry is the first black presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church in the USA. He is well known and respected for speaking out on immigration, race, gun control, and other moral issues of our day and is widely recognised as one of the most popular preachers in the English language.
