Two children blew themselves uo near as refugee camp in northern Cameroon

Kolofata – Two children with explosives blew themselves up on Friday, June 3, near a refugee camp in northern Cameroon, which houses civilians displaced by Boko Haram’s attacks in Nigeria. Nine people died, plus the two kamikazes, and other 30 were injured. The suicide bombers entered the city of Kolofata, about 10 kilometers from the border with Nigeria before dawn, disguising themselves as refugees in search of food before the start of fasting for Ramadan. In recent years, North Cameroon has experienced the escalation of violence triggered by Islamist rebels of Boko Haram in Nigeria. Nigerian refugees have flooded the Country from the border and local residents have been forced to flee their homes. Local authorities have reported that these last explosions occurred one day after the suicide bombing of two other girls in the nearby village of Djakana, which caused the deaths of the two girls and injured two members of the local self-defense civilian force.
