Dr. Grace Lubaale elected 4th bishop of Busoga

7th October 2025: The House of Bishops of Church of Uganda sitting at Lweza Training and Conference Centre has today elected Rev. Canon. Associate Prof. Dr. Grace Lubaale as the 4th Bishop of Busoga Diocese.

‎He will be consecrated and enthroned as the 4th Bishop of Busoga Diocese on 14th December 2025 at Christ Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja.

‎Rev. Canon. Associate Prof. Dr. Grace Lubaale was born on 9th October 1978, in Bugombya Zone, Butansi Parish, Butansi Sun county, Bugabula County in Kamuli District. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in December 1994.

‎He was ordained a Deacon in the Diocese of Kampala in 2008, priested in 2009 and installed as a Canon of Education and Training of All Saints Cathedral Kampala on 1st November 2024.

‎Rev. Canon. Associate Prof. Dr. Grace Lubaale is married to Clare Louise Atuheirwe and God has blessed them with four Children.

‎He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Development Studies, Master of Arts in Theology, Master of Arts in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Arts with Education.
