Archbishop Dr. Sammy Fouzi, the Archbishop of the Alexandria Region of the Anglican Episcopal Church, congratulated Bishop Jeremiah Maite on winning the election today to become the Bishop of Gambela Diocese in Ethiopia under the Alexandria Region for the Episcopal Church.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Bishop Jeremiah Maite, who will be taking care of a large number of churches, many being in dire need areas, as the Episcopal Church in Gambela continues to grow, particularly among the communities that face economic and social difficulties.

We pray that God would use him to expand and expand church service, supporting initiatives that contribute to the revival of local communities, as Bishop Jeremiah has been called to serve God’s people. His leadership will be significant and instrumental in building the church in Gambela and ensuring that the gospel message reaches all.

The Archbishop Concluded: We take this opportunity to express our appreciation and thanks to Bishop Grant Le Marquand and the Electoral Commission for their faithful service in overseeing the election process. So they should maintain the integrity of the electoral process to preserve the unity of the church. “He who calls you is faithful, who will do also” (1 Thessalonians 5)
