The Synod of the Diocese of the Central States of the Anglican Church in North America meeting at t Trinity Reformed Episcopal Church, Mason, Ohio elected the Rev. Canon Jason Grote on 17 Oct 2024 to be bishop coadjutor. Canon Grote is the son of the late the Most Rev. Royal Grote, former Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church from 2014 to 2016. The Diocese of the Central States comprises Reformed Episcopal Church parishes in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama. Upon ratification of the election by the ACNA college of bishops, Bishop-elect Grote will assist the Rt. Rev. Peter Manto, until the later’s retirement, when he will then assume the office of bishop ordinary.
