A message from the Rector and Wardens:

The safety of all those in our communities is of paramount importance to Saint Thomas Church, and we adhere to safe church practices. We have received a legal complaint against Saint Thomas Church, the Diocese, and certain named individuals. In this complaint, an adult has made allegations of sexual misconduct about individuals associated with Saint Thomas Church. Those who have been accused of sexual misconduct, including Fr. Mark Schultz, have denied these allegations. However, due to the nature of these allegations, Saint Thomas Church will commission a third-party investigation. Fr. Schultz, in line with safe church policies, has been placed on leave while the investigation is ongoing.

To be clear, this lawsuit and related accusations do not involve any allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor.

Our safeguarding policies follow best practices and are regularly monitored. All staff, and many volunteers, undertake regular safeguarding training.

Sincerely Yours,

Carl Turner, Lloyd Stanford, Gregroy Zaffiro
