We rejoice in the Lord and give thanks for the Holy Consecration of the Rt. Revd. Manoj Devan Kate as the Bishop of the Kolhapur Diocese, Maharashtra, which was solemnly held today, Saturday, 15th February 2025, at the CNI Bhavan Chapel. The sacred service was led by the Most Revd. B.K. Nayak, the Moderator of the Church of North India (CNI).
The Rt. Revd. Manoj Devan Kate was born on February 18, 1966. He completed his Bachelor of Divinity (BD) from Leonard Theological College (LTC), Jabalpur in 2003 and holds a degree in Economics from the University of Pune. Ordained in the Pune Diocese in 2009, Bishop Manoj Kate has faithfully served in pastoral ministry for 15 years. His leadership journey includes serving as the Vice-President of the Diocese of Pune, CNI, and currently as the Presbyter-in-charge at All Saints’ Church, Khadki, Pune. He has also contributed significantly as the Principal of United Theological Seminary of Maharashtra (UTSM), Pune, and has a heart for social work among street children in the slums of Pune.
Bishop Manoj Kate is blessed with a wonderful family – his wife, Mrs. Vandana Manoj Kate, daughter Maheema, and son Gaurav.
