Archbishop Dr Sami Fuzi, Archbishop of the Alexandria Region of the Anglican Episcopal Church, has concluded his visit to Chad, which included the election of a new bishop of the Diocese of North Africa, as well as the meeting of the Synods of the Episcopal Church of North Africa.
The Synods meeting discussed the vision and service of the Church in North Africa, the history of the Alexandria Region and the process of work in the Episcopal Church in Egypt were also reviewed. The meeting saw the exchange of discussions on the most important developments in the Episcopal Churches in the two countries.
Archbishop and Archbishop Anthony Paul, Archbishop of the Diocese of North Africa, met with the Archbishop of the Catholic Church in Chad, where the parties spoke about the strong relationship between the Catholic Church and the Anglican Church in many parts of the world and the centre of the Ecumenical Dialogue of the Anglican church in Rome.
During the visit to Chad, the prayers of the Divine Liturgy were held in the Church of St. Paul in the city of Ngamina, where four new deacons were ordained, in the presence of Archdeacon Emad Baslius, the patron of the Episcopal Church in Korba, the Reverend Dr. Medhat Sabry, the Reverend Doctor Yasser Koko, the Assistant Archbishop of the Sudanese Service in the Episcopal church in Egypt, and Mr. Fouad Rashdi, the counselor. In another context, the Archbishop visited the headquarters of the Episcopal College of Theology which is still under construction, the Archbishop also inspected the site of the construction of the new Episcopal Cathedral in Ngamena, the capital of Chad.

اختتم رئيس الأساقفة الدكتور سامي فوزي، رئيس أساقفة إقليم الإسكندرية للكنيسة الأسقفية الأنجليكانية، زيارته في تشاد، والتي شملت أنتخاب أسقف جديد لأبروشية شمال إفريقيا، بالإضافة إلى اجتماع سنودس الكنيسة الأسقفية بشمال إفريقيا.
تناول اجتماع السنودس رؤية وخدمة الكنيسة في شمال إفريقيا، كما تم استعراض تاريخ إقليم الإسكندرية ومسيرة العمل في أبروشية الكنيسة الأسقفية بمصر. وشهد اللقاء تبادل النقاش حول أبرز التطورات في الكنائس الأسقفية في البلدين.
والتقى رئيس الأساقفة والمطران أنتوني بول مطران أبروشية شمال إفريقيا، برئيس أساقفة الكنيسة الكاثوليكية بتشاد، حيث تحدث الطرفين عن العلاقات القوية التي تجمع بين الكنيسة الكاثوليكية والكنيسة الأنجليكانية في أماكن عديدة من العالم وعن مركز الحوار المسكوني للكنيسة الأنجليكانية في روما.
وخلال الزيارة في تشاد، أُقيمت صلوات القداس الإلهي في كنيسة القديس بولس بمدينة نجامينا، حيث تمّت رسامة أربعة شمامسة جُدد، وذلك بحضور الأرشدياكون عماد باسليوس راعي الكنيسة الأسقفية بالكوربة، والكنن الدكتور مدحت صبري، والقس الدكتور ياسر كوكو، مساعد المطران بالخدمة السودانية في أبروشية الكنيسة الأسقفية بمصر، والأستاذ فؤاد رشدي المستشار القانوني للأبروشية.
وفي سياق آخر زار رئيس الأساقفة مقر كلية اللاهوت الأسقفية الذي مازال تحت الإنشاء، كما تفقد رئيس الأساقفة موقع إنشاء الكاتدرائية الأسقفية الجديدة بمدينة نجامينا عاصمة تشاد.
الجدير بالذكر إن إقليم الإسكندرية للكنيسة الأسقفية هو الإقليم الـ41 للكنيسة الأسقفية حول العالم ويضم تحت رئاسته 10 دول وهم مصر، ليبيا، تونس، الجزائر، ارتريا، إثيوبيا، جيبوتي، الصومال، تشاد، موريتانيا، حيث يخضع هذا الإقليم تحت رئاسة الدكتور سامي فوزي رئيس أساقفة إقليم الإسكندرية للكنيسة الأسقفية.
