The archbishop participates in the election of a new bishop of the North African Diocese
Archbishop Dr Sami Fuzi, Archbishop of the Alexandria Region of the Anglican Episcopal Church, participated in the election to elect a new bishop for the Episcopal Diocese of North Africa. The diocese comprises five countries: Algeria, Chad, Libya, Mauritania, Tunisia, as well as the territory of the chair of St. Augustine, bishop of Hippo.
The Synods and the Electoral Commission met in Ngamena, Chad, to announce the final result, where Dr. Ashley Null has been elected to become the second bishop of the Diocese of North Africa.
The Archbishop has expressed his sincere congratulations to Rev. Dr. Ashley Null on being elected Bishop of the Diocese of North Africa, wishing him well in his new ministry, and prayed that the Holy Spirit would grant him wisdom, courage and grace as he oversees the people of the diocese.
The Archbishop concluded: We take this opportunity to express our appreciation and thanks to the Electoral Commission for their faithful service in overseeing the election process. Please maintain the integrity of the electoral process so that the Church continues in unity and growth.
