At the inauguration of Anglican Missionary Congregations (Europe) [AMC] as the third diocese for the Anglican Network in Europe [ANiE], the Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, primate of all Nigeria released the congregations and clergy from the Church of Nigeria into the care and oversight of ANiE and Presiding Bishop Andy Lines.
Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, Primate of the Church of Nigeria, said:
“The Anglican Missionary Congregation has been part and parcel of the chaplaincy and mission of the church of Nigeria Anglican Communion in the United Kingdom. And through several consultation and requests we have this day released AMC to the Anglican Network in Europe to be part of the Anglican Network in Europe and to serve God’s people in the proclamation of the gospel in the expansion of the kingdom of God and standing for the truth of the word of God in this generation.
And on behalf of the Church of Nigeria at this point my brother Bishop Andy Lines, the presiding Bishop of ANiE, we, the Church of Nigeria, hand over AMC to be part of the Network. Amen.
Therefore AMC will walk with you and partner with you while the Chaplaincy and those in it will continue as God leads them. So we want to thank you for the negotiations, it has taken 2 years to come to this point, and we thank God for what the Lord has done. And we wish you, our brother, and all our brothers and sisters in AMC God’s speed and presence and strength into the future. God bless you.”
