The Most Reverend Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, has announced a three-day period of prayer and fasting throughout the Province from March 29th to 31st, 2023.
In a media interview this morning in Kampala, Archbishop Kaziimba said, the aim of the event is to seek God’s intervention in the nation’s struggle against immorality, corruption, and other societal ills.
Archbishop Kaziimba believes that through following the teachings of the Bible, particularly 2 Chronicles 7:14 and Isaiah 58:6-7, individuals can experience transformative change in their lives and society as a whole.
During this period, he encourages individuals to reflect on God’s word, pray, repent, and engage in acts of kindness towards those in need.
Rev. Simon Peter Ddembe Lya Yesu, the Director of Mission and Outreach in Church of Uganda said that through unity and faith in God, people’s prayers will be heard, and the nation of Uganda will experience healing and deliverance from the problems it faces.
