Same-sex blessings “an error”, raising questions over leadership – Bishop Jill Duff

Churches in the Church of England will now be able to bless same sex couples. It’s believed that the first ceremonies will take place this summer. Individual churches will be encouraged to state clearly whether they will be offering the blessings to avoid any confusion or disappointment. The Archbishops of Canterbury and York said this marked a “new beginning” for the C of E – as part of their statement they said “for the first time, the C of E will publicly, unreservedly and joyfully welcome same sex couples in church”.
