The moderator of the Church of North India consecrated a new bishop for the Diocese of Chandigarh on Saturday. On 19 March 2022, the Rt. Rev. Denzel Peoples was consecrated bishop by the Most Rev. P.C. Singh in succession to the Rt. Rev. Younas Massey. Bishop Peoples had served as priest in charge of Christ Church in Chandigarh prior to his consecration. The Diocese of Chandigarh is located in India’s Punjab state and is one of 26 dioceses of the church which covers the northern half of India.
