One of the leading lights of the Evangelical movement within Anglicanism has died. The Rev. Melvin Tinker, former vicar of St. John’s Newland Church in Hull, died on 23 November 2021. In October his son reported Melvin had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and the outlook was not promising.
