The Electoral College of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan’s Jonglei Province has elected the Rt Rev Moses Anur Ayom as the second Archbishop of Jonglei and Bishop of Bor. The 7 November 2020 election will move Bishop Ayom from the Diocese of Athooch to the see city of the province.
On 27 July 2014 Bishop Ayom was elected bishop of the Athooch which had been carved out of the Diocese of Bor in 2011. The new archbishop’s priorities have been developing schools and health clinics for the community, he told the Sudan Tribune.
