The bishops of the Anglican and Episcopal dioceses of Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Southeast and Northern Mexico express their solidarity with the caravans of emigrants to the United States in search of work

In the name of God, the bishops of the Anglican and Episcopal dioceses of Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Southeast and Northern Mexico express their solidarity to the governments, civic and religious leaders of Central America, Mexico, the United States, the United Nations with the caravans of emigrants that have arisen over the past month to the United States in search of work. …

For them, in the name of Christ and Saint Romero, we request the solidarity of the authorities of the countries on their route and destination” to recognise their dignity and human rights; for a just humanitarian reception; for reasonable opportunities to identify options to legalise their transit and accommodation in the countries of destination, whether that be the US, Mexico or Canada.
