An armed gang invaded the home of the Bishop of Oleh in Nigeria’s Delta State yesterday, threatening the life of the Rt. Rev. John Usiwoma Araukpor and his family and robbing their home. Sources in Nigeria tell Anglican Ink Bishop Araukpor was preparing for a prayer meeting at Bishopscourt, his residence, in Isoko South when five men broke through a fence and entered the compound. They held the bishop and members of his household at gunpoint while they ransacked the home, taking valuables and an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured in the robbery. Police have launched an investigation and are understood to be questioning suspects.
